help needed.

I have a friend of mine who has been selling these Vmedia, vbox's to family and friends he sells them the box and provides them with arabic channels, english movies and shows and charges them a low rate each month.

i am really interested in starting up somthing like this and need help where to start and how things work. if you can help me out it be awsome

wouldnt they need their ISP provider to be on the allowed list? How is he selling these boxes and getting channels on them? Is he using XBMC?
