  • Important VBox Update Information – Please Read

    Hello,

Several weeks ago, VMedia pushed a VBox update to users that resolves a problem which would result in TV service being inaccessible beginning this evening.

We have sent several reminders, including automated phone calls, SMS, emails, and VBox prompts, regarding the importance of applying this update, in order to avoid a service interruption.

If you have not installed the update in the last several weeks on any VBox you are currently using, please read the instructions below to ensure service continues to be available.

Note that the pre-8PM steps apply to all VBoxes which have not yet been updated. The post-8PM steps are different for Android 7.1 VBoxes, and any Android 4(.1 and up) VBox. Please ensure you follow the steps that apply to your VBox.

In order to ensure that devices work as expected, VMedia application version should be .450 (Quad/Quad+) or .350 (Dual Core). To check your application version, press the wrench button on your remote, scroll to apps, locate VMedia and press OK. The application version will be displayed at the top of the screen. If your version is lower than .450 (Quad/Quad+) or .350 (Dual Core), please proceed with the steps below.

    Before 8PM on October 28, 2018:

    Press Home button on remote.
    Scroll down to Settings.
Scroll Across to Update and press OK.
When prompted to update, accept update.
VBox will apply update and you will be brought to TV Guide upon competition and TV service will be available as expected.
If you are not prompted to update, and it says your version is current, press back on your remote to exit Settings. It is likely that a further update is not needed.

However, please call VMedia at 1-855-333-8269 if your VBox does in fact experience a service interruption after 8PM in any case.
