Can anyone give me tips on how to refer people? Besides the obvious of course.

We all know we can talk to friends and family. I was focusing on referring online somehow without looking like a slimy scammer/spammer. There's a fine line between recommendation and spam these days! Got any tips? I like Vmedia and would like to support them, plus I'd get free service this way and could even upgrade my service.

NOTE: i hope its obvious I'm not looking to resell the service. I just want to lower my costs through the occasional referral. One a month would make me happy!
