cogent communications?

Hi, this is probably a stupid question, but why when I do a speed test, or go to http://www.whatismyipaddress.com, it says my isp is cogent communications? I would of assumed it would say bell or vianet, but it doesn't. If it helps any, I live in Toronto.

It shows Cogent because it's a (V)DSL line. Cogent, is what VMedia is reselling for (V)DSL and likewise CIKtel is for Cable.
