Hi,

Quick question, will we always be behind by 30 seconds to a minute from other TV providers? I follow sports on social media, and sometimes I find out about Goals, etc way before it happens on my TV.

Hi,

There will always be some additional latency with our feeds because of the extra encoding process required to ready content for broadcast. Typically this adds 30-45 seconds of delay.

Sadly with Digital TV in any form, there is always a slight delay.. There would be differences between S*** Direct and Bell TV, or ROGERS and FIBE even. It all depends on how it's sourced and how many times it's compressed/processed that will add delay. There is no avoiding this really unless we all go back to FULL Analog, and that's not an option.
