Cogeco cable Internet as well as connection to some of our channels from Bell media will undergo a 30-45 minute maintenance tonight, December 4th between 3 and 3:45 a.m.

Cogeco Data Services will be performing emergency restoration activity to replace damaged fibre cables affected by a Hydro vault fire in downtown Toronto and currently impacting several GTA service providers. Attempts to restore impacted services leveraging alternative conduits in the area have been unsuccessful. Cogeco Internet & Bell Media channels services are expected to experience an outage while Hydro conduit excavation/repair and Cogeco fibre cable replacement occurs. Every effort is being made to minimize outages while cable pulls/splicing work is executed, as well as to schedule fibre splicing for after-hours, however Hydro work including excavation is underway as a safety priority, making further service impacts and outage windows difficult to control/schedule. Cogeco has Fibre and Field technicians on site coordinating with Hydro crews and standing by to pull new fibre and restore services as quickly as possible. We will continue to provide our customers updates as restoration work continues
