Do you go to Costco on a Saturday then complain that you're an executive member and therefore deserve the closest parking spot? That's how you sound with complaints like that.
    modsuperstar;n74419 you are correct

    Pixel,
In my opinion I believe you are stealing content. Its like your saying you paid for a tank of gasoline for your car at shell and went to esso to get it!

Get mad or upset with me if you want, but all providers throttle in some shape or form. I remember another provider that throttles users that were downloading torrents a couple years ago.
Vmedia has its quirks sometimes and so do the others and I get more channels and internet then we need. Some people need to understand that when you down load or surf the internet you get a certain bandwidth but that's divided between all your connections or they would all be crashing constantly. Read the fine print of the big boys out there!

I know folks like to blame the ISP but what of the remote site where the content is coming from. I'll bet they throttle as well so as to handle more connections.

I'm in COGECO CABLE Land and am looking for information on CABLE internet and Home Phone!
What make & model is the VoIP adapter you send out and does the $49.00 include shipping?
Do you offer a Wi-Fi modem? OR a combined modem/Router and If so what make & model?
Is that a charge for moving up in speed say form Cable60 to Cable120 also is there a charge for reducing speed say form Cable120 to Cable 60?

I have to start out by saying that I was initially a little frustrated with my switch to VMedia. Slow speeds, stuttering on IPTV, phone cutting out.......but, it appears that the issue was with the Bell DSL switch locally. A search on other forums showed that other VMedia users and regular Bell customers were also having difficulty, and as a result it looks like the switch was fixed. The last couple of months have been pretty good. The odd period of slow down in the evenings, but overall I'm happy. Kudos VMedia.
Regarding the offer to upgrade, I am not a cable customer, on DSL6 so did not receive the e-mails, but am intrigued by the current offer of FTTN15 with no dry loop fee to Bell. This was the main reason for going with DSL6 at the start, didn't want to pay the dry loop to Bell. Just left them after 15 years of price gouging.
Just to confirm, it looks like the dry loop fee is currently being waived on ALL new FTTN15 subscribers? So if I upgrade now, I'll only have the $99 install fee and the extra cost of the FTTN15 service? Or is this for brand new customers only??
